Online or Offline?
1. Online sales are growing significantly each year as transferring money online becomes easier and more secure.
2. Online stores cost less to operate and can be managed out of the home.
3. Online stores have far greater reach because they can be viewed on a global scale.
Build a store out of real materials before owning an online store, is that even realistic? Nearly every large marketing business today creates hype by using a website by selling products offline and events they coordinate. Though there are many small businesses today that cannot exist without a building because you cant really get your haircut offline unless we start some kind of traveling hair stylist? What I mean is that there are markets in the world that cannot exist without a building because the human interaction is how the skills are used, sold and shipped.
Therefore, I think I would start a website for my business before I built a store because with more advertising, visuals and public representation in the air the building will have reason and will be a symbol. The web design must be incredible though, which means that the website and building must be in line with another, there cannot be displacement or confusion for the customers. The benefit of having an online store is product sales are quit simple; create the product, offer the product for your profit, sell the product through an online banking service, ship the product and keep innovating and recreating your product and content. The largest benefit of having the online store is the globalization that you can reach, there is no limitation on where the customers are, they can alway order it offline. China is making bank online today because of this.
A brick store has many possibilites, actual human relations with the customer, the feel of the product and the ability to test out the product. To have an actual building with product is appealing for any customer because they feel more at home and is comforted by the closeness of the seller and buyer relationship. If business is not big enough for the reach of customer that you want to reach to then there is no reason to have a store. To build many stores is sometimes even stupid because almost anything today can be bought online and demoed offline. Online capabilities are still thriving today and will keep recreating themselves but a place for storage will always be needed for the online store which makes both stores a necessity in the real outlook of the questions.
