Aerni's Social Network

How many social networking sites are you using?

Honestly, I do not think I am a big social network fan when it comes to sharing my personal information with others. Though, when it comes down to the core nodes of my social networking sites I would have to go down a short list of Facebook being my number one, #2 Reddit, # 3 The Kollection (Music blog) and # 4 being Twitter. I am a long living Facebook fan and have had an account for the past 8 years. The development of Facebook has been incredible which I have really enjoyed because of the vast exploration that Facebook has dove into.

Here are my social media sites.

How often do you use them?

Since Facebook is my favorite social media site, I use Facebook about three times a day but I do not post every day. I will post content that I am reading or about something with relevance to my fellow alumni in all the organizations I have been a part in. Facebook usually gives me great stories through my friends and likes that I have applied to my account but there is always time for me to cut some peers out of my network because I begin to find them irrelevant and annoying in my circle of friends Reddit on the other hand is my new favorite social media news network. Currently I am not a full member of the Reddit community because of my inconsistency. Soon I plan on becoming a redditor and fully taking pride in my posts and articles I find to be amusing. As for "The Kollection" being my social media/music site I have stopped using it because of bans put on artists releasing their music through platforms that dont allow free downloads. I still am a regular fan of the music scene but I have drastically fallen behind in visits to the site. Twitter is just too much because I do not think that twitter is a strong application to personalize yourself. Only 140 characters can be posted on a twitter account, its a bit small for me but also reliable when I want to see what my friends and interesting characters are up to. I think twitter is rubbing off on me but I havent gotten the full take over yet.

Which one is your favorite and why?

As I have said, Facebook is my favorite social media platform but I would have to say that Reddit is my ultimate form of social media and actual news. I read article after article and interviews of celebrities, political figures and pretty much any array of interesting people around the world that share with one another online. There are very few sites where people share so much information with one another with truth and honesty. Another great reason I love the site is because it is not filled with advertisements all over the page. The redditors pride themselves with sharing with one another and educate the world with their knowledge that they can prove worthy for others.
